Bess Bright

Bess is a native Houstonian who works as an engineer in the oil & gas industry.

Certified since 1980, actively diving since 2004 and shooting underwater photos since 2005, Bess became a HUPS member after attending a HUPS workshop.
Her favorite dive locations include Cozumel, Key Largo, Bonaire, and of course, Tiger Beach in the Bahamas.

Bess shoots a Nikon D7200 DSLR with a Nauticam housing and Inon Z240 dual
strobes. Her go-to macro lens is the Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 behind a flat port and for the big animals, the Tokina fisheye 10-17mm behind a Zen mini dome port.

Someone told Bess that cameras actually work on dry land too, not just underwater.  On those rare occasions when she gets around to taking the camera out of the housing, she uses the 18-200mm f/3.5 VR for topside photos.
