The ike housing does not provide access to the joystick that manipulates the "Q" menu. How do you move around on the "Q" menu with your housing?   Huh?

I have a Nauticam housing - it has a 4-way combination button that offers accessibly to the joystick.

Actually, the Q button is a step backwards....
You could do the same thing on the 50D by just pressing in on the set button...at least above water.  Now, I have to move my left hand from the camera to press the Q button, then with my right hand move the dial.  With the 50D I could do it all with one hand.

I like the one button option Debbie mentions on the 50D. I can't get to the joystick with the ike housing... Cry Cry Cry

I should have my Aquatica housing tomorrow, so I'll see if I can get to the Q button and the joystick with it.

Tom.... I told you that you could do all that with the 50D.... you didn't seem too interested in it.... maybe you didn't realize what I was telling you at the time?

And I was wrong in my previous post - - it's not the set button on the 50D.  You access it all on the 50D by pressing in on the joystick, then use it to move from box to box, then the wheel to change whatever you want.  So, truly one handed operation.  Now, it will be the Q button to activate with the left hand, then the joystick to move from box to box, then the wheel to make the changes.....

Hi Debbie,

I guess that I did not listen to your sage advice on the 50D.  The joystick was not accessible in my Aquatica housing so I guess that I wasn't interested in what it could do topside.  Oddly enough, other than taking photos of the 4-H barrel racing events, I don't use my camera much topside.  When I do, it is to take photos at family gatherings.  But even then, the camera is usually set on the P mode.  Now u/w, that is a different story - I can't get enough of it.
