Yes, that’s right if you are diving with us in Bonaire this June then you don't want to miss this photographic opportunity. Bonaire is know for its prestine reef eco-system and macro reef communities. David Lenderman will start off highlighting the principles at the club meeting Monday April 6th. Then the following Saturday (April 11th) our very own Dennis Deavenport will conduct a two part workshop consisting of the principles in shooting macro as well as some hands on practical application work stations. Plan on bringing your gear for some hands-on training and fun. As we get closer to the date there will be more information to share.

Here is a quick update from Dennis as he is putting this workshop together.

"I'd like everyone that wants to participate in the hands-on portion of the workshop to come with full knowledge of how to operate their camera and be able to set shutter speeds, apertures, and ISO.  Other seemingly silly requirements would be how to view your images and look at histograms of the photos taken on the fly."
 
"I'll be working to show the participants how to balance available light and flash to get black backgrounds and blue water backgrounds, depending on their camera settings.  I also want to everyone through some of the exercises that illustrate depth of field.  Composition and how to line up more than one subject in a photo are also things I'm trying to work into the stations."

Sounds like things are shaping up and I'm sure this workshop will be a crowd pleaser come show time...
